Trashed Fence to Jewelry Hanger

The funny thing about this is that I found an old broken down fence on the side of the road, and being the weirdo that I am, I threw it in the back of my truck and said to myself, "I could totally do something with that."

Any normal person would look at me like I'm crazy, what do I mean "would", they do look at me crazy.

A broken fence, really?!

Really!

I had all this jewelry, I love necklaces. But I just kept it all in a ziplock bag and they would get all tangled and break and now I have beads everywhere and one of my favorite necklaces is no more.

I wanted to find a way to hang them without having some tacky jewelry hanger on my bathroom counter.

Then I remembered the broken fence I picked up, so I ran out to the garage to get it, I pulled it apart and picked out some pieces I liked.

I used a staple gun to secure them together and corner brackets to make a shelf. Then I went to Home Depot, which I should never go in alone because I spend hours looking at stuff and thinking about what I can make.

Inevitably I went in for some hooks and instead I spent hours in the drawer hardware aisle picking out just the right knobs to hang my jewelry on.

I drilled these in the places I wanted and when I hung it up and put my jewelry on it, I was happier than I thought I would be.

I love it!
